Whats important to remember here is that an asset inherits the attributes from its Classification. Its Classification is determined by its location. Don't worry it'll all make sense in this guide.
The classification is the first aspect of the database that needs to be populated. This provides the housing structure for the systems and assets that lye within.
Attributes are assigned in groups that may represent the types of attributes relative to the asset or class.
The key to assigning the asset to a classification is dictated by the location.
Now the asset has been created and assigned a classification we need to test to ensure it has been set up correctly
An AD4 is built as the classification hierarchy is established and attributes assigned. Find out how to download the AD4
